I saw these pictures of them and just thought, this is awesome and it speaks to me because it says so much about women. All the women just defying society’s conventions of what is expected of women and, their doing it on their own terms and they’re doing it for themselves, not for anybody else. I just thought that’s really empowering and I want to make a film about that,” Zara revealed to HollywoodLife in an EXCLUSIVE interview about her inspiration behind the film.
